  • I was just wondering what the criteria is for an affiliation with another Wikia. The reason I ask if because I'm wondering about pursuing an affiliation with other Wikis like Mighty No. 9 and Shantae, what with Mighty Gunvolt Burst coming out and Shantae and Gunvolt's similar styles (not to mention the developers have acknowledged and worked with each other).

  • Hey BeoBlade, I've, well, got a question lol. Since the seven Sumeragi adepts (except Nova) of the original game were named after cars (in both the original JP version and the EN version), do you mind if I add that bit of trivia to the Sumeragi page, or each individual page, where I'd list what model of car they were named after?

Maybe you'll find something useful here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/3ds/768298-azure-striker-gunvolt/faqs/70280

  • As you're probably aware, Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 drops in the east this month, over a month before its American and European release dates. I'm probably correct in assuming that there will be westerners who can either understand Japanese and buy the game anyway, or just look up any footage that may be translated. I don't really have a problem with this. However, what I am afraid of is somebody who has seen the Japanese version updating wiki pages with ASG2 info, spoiling pretty much everyone before they have the chance to play the game.

Perhaps I'm being a little too worried, but I'd just like to be safe. So, I propose that we have a very temporary spoiler rule, so nobody can update the wiki pages with spoilers about the game, until after its European release, which I think is in early October. What do you think?

      Loading editor
    • I agree with setting a rule to prevent people posting spoilers on ASG2, but only partialyl for the sake of the plot, but the key reasion is that we are a English Wikia for the Azure Strikers. On the previous game they changed a lot of stuff that was on the JP version, such as the major discussion about Zonda's identity, so just adding more stuff about the JP version without knowing what the EN/EU version has to offer would be quite of a mess.

Though, what ideas do you have in mind to keep people from updating?

        Loading editor
    • One of the wikis that I contribute to is Corpse Party Wiki, which used to have a similar rule. The game Corpse Party: Blood Drive released in July 2014. To avoid any spoilers, the staff put a No Spoiler Rule in the official rules until the games western release in 2015. I propose that we do something similar, and have a ASG2 No Spoiler Rule until say, a week after the games last major release. The standard auto greeting could be updated so people are aware of this, and you could make a blog post fully outlining everything.

        Loading editor
    • Alright, consider it as settled then. You want to edit the Rules page while I go write the Blog Post? However, the Auto greeting already has a link telling people about the Rules page, so it's not really necessary.

(Now that I think of it.... pretty sure I've already visited that Corpse Party Wiki once... idk tho)

    • Hope I'm not too late to get my two cents in about this.

While I agree with the general sentiment of keeping spoilers away from people who don't want to be spoiled, I don't think a complete ban (even if it is only temporary) is the correct way to go about this. This Wikia is meant to be a concise, complete collection of knowledge for fans, so I think it wouldn't be quite right to leave out certain details. Furthermore, I think waiting for the EU release is too unpredictable. I've spent the last few hours searching for an official statement about the EU release for Gunvolt 2, but I haven't found one. (The closest I've found to it is an outdated Inti Creates blog post from April ) For now, I think the best option is to either spoiler tag each page, and continue updating as usual after the Japanese release, or to be spoiler free until the North American release. Instead of a hard ban until the EU release, I think a spoiler tag would work better. I went looking for a few examples from other Wikias as to how they've dealt with spoilers. I think the Harry Potter and Phoenix Wright Wikias in particular do a great job of marking spoilers, and that we should adopt a similar policy, without outright banning all spoilers. I don't know, that's just my opinion.

  • Hello

I'm FedeTkd, Admin from SAO Fanon Wiki. I'm just here to ask if you're planning come back to the Wiki, since you didn't come back. Just sheer curiosity, since your Fan-Fiction stuff seemed, at the very least, interesting.

If you do come back, I have a couple of tips for your story. I wrote a whole blog about tips for new writers.

    Thanks for your time.

      Loading editor
    • Hi there Fede, no need to introduce yourself, I still remember you.

Well, I mainly left because of some personal stuff. That and the fact that I didn't really fit on the community, being like a broken third wheel or something, and I rarely knew how to reply to any conversation because it's like I was raiding onto it.

If you want, I can try to come back, but I don't think I will be really useful for the community.

        Loading editor
    • Well, I also don't fit in the community. In fact, I don't have a good relationship with most of them and I barely join chat.

I'm not there for the community, I'm there because I like SAO and I like writing. So it's a matter of what you want.

        Loading editor
    • I see, but at least you can talk XD, yesterday I tried to join the chat and I didn't found any chance to say anything on roughly 1/2 hour(s) in there.

I think that the key of any Fanon Wiki, or a normal Wiki that have Fanfics on Blog Posts, is the fact of the community itself. The idea of sharing ideas and stories, etc, that's why I don't feel comfortable when I can't participate on a Fanon Wiki but stil lcan (eh, bad choice of words, but I think it's understandable.)

And I do plan to continue Warlords of the End, but I'm planning to get The Men Who Changed Fates (my General Fiction on Wattpad) over with before I start other stuff, God Eater: Fallen Warriors (my God Eater fanfiction on Wattpad), so I'd say both Prison of Hope (ASG Fanfiction) and Sword Art Online: Warlords of the End I'm going to write while I'm not writing TWCF or GEFW.

  • I'm here to ask you about the image in Zonda's infobox showcasing his/her/whatever's septimal form. The current one looks kiiiiiinda out of place. Wouldn't this be a better image? I would probably just replace it myself, but I use a tablet, which can't use anything like Photoshop or the like.

Also, tad bit unrelated, but could you care to inform me about this Prison of Hope of yours? Definitely got a title that grabs my interest.

    • I noticed. I'm actually adding Zonda's appearance and personality right now. I suppose you can imagine why I've put it off.

    • Just finished reading it, nice work there Ai.

Though, I'm not sure if you should use his / her pronouns on that page, but since you clearly stated you were talking about xer male and female transformations respectively, that's ok for me. However, probably Fouxjin will edit that later once he appears again.

  • I was wondering if we should add a character's involvement in drama CDs to their pages under Plot Role. Say, adding Nova's involvement in Justice Rage to his page. Something I thought I should ask you about.

    • Oh, if that's the case I look forward to read it XD, and sure, you can post any future chapter here. Mostly I only write a Fanfiction about a respective series when there's someone to read it (because I hate being locked on a respective history, only when it's a wide-open Fanfiction like ASG or MH that I really like to write (or an all-new one, wich I love to write), that or when I'm writing it with someone) so that's why I wondered if you had the same way of thinking.

I'm most likely going to write my own ASG Fanfiction on these next days, but I must decided wether the protagonist is on Sumeragi or Quill's side...

By the way, you can post Justice in Sin on Community Portal too if you want.

  • Hello. I would just like to suggest that we add "Design/Appearance" sections to character pages. You know, something describing there physical appearance, for example:

"Nova is a young teenage boy with red eyes and spiky purple hair, with one white spike."

Obviously that wouldn't be it. It would go on to explain their clothing as well. Just something I thought I should get your thumbs up on, just in case.

    • That's a good idea  愛 日音, I'll try working on it on the near future. Also, if possible, you could edit some pages with your idea while i work on the other tasks of the Wikia.

By the way, welcome to the Wikia! Hope you enjoy your stay, and I thank you for you latest edits :D

  • Hello, Beoblade.

I'm sorry I haven't been on the Wikia as much as you have.

Firstly, I'd like to thank you for the huge contribution you've made to this Wikia. You've been a huge help to this Wikia whenever I neglect to give it proper care. You've been a great help to this Wikia.

A few days ago, you asked me for bureaucratic rights. I just noticed this today after viewing my notifications. Well, I've taken your request into serious consideration and realized (quite easily) that you deserve nothing less than the rights of a bureaucrat. In addition, I granted you chat and forum moderation rights.

If there's any problems or mistakes I made when granting you these rights, be sure to contact me and I'll get them resolved as soon as possible.

You're welcome, and I'm excited for your continued contributions to the Azure Striker Gunvolt Wikia.

    • Hi there, Fouxjin.

No need to apologize, being busy with life is pretty normal.

Thanks a lot for giving me Bureaucratic rights, and it's been a pleasure to help and I'll do my best to improve this Wikia.

There's Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 coming soon, and we must be ready for the new batch of members.

      See you around~~

  • Hi BeoBlade. Sorry for the late response. I approved your request, and I'm here to help.

For the background image, please link me to any image(s) that you want to be used, and I'll get started on that first.

To improve the main page, a custom font, to use for section headings, is always a good idea. When you have time, browse the fonts at https://www.google.com/fonts and see if you find one you like. Google fonts are free to use and very easy to import to a wiki. Once you find one, let me know the name of the font. You can find the font's name in the lower left corner of the box. So for example, the font at the top of page at that link is named Open Sans.

To increase the size of the Twitter widget, which you mentioned on your request, edit the main page and find the following code near the bottom.

    <twitter widget-id="593267976352071681" height=250px width="280px"/>

I think you can make the widget taller by simply increasing the height value, which is currently set to 250px.

We'll work on the other couple things once we're done with those above.

    • Sorry for the misspelling.

Thanks a lot! It's perfect now, thanks (I will need to say thank a lot) for your time and patience to help the Wikia JoePlay. Well, I dont think that there is something left to edit for the Design, I will just make another request if I remember to add something or reply to this thread.
